Maui Wildfire Helpers Seeking Therapy

Are you a firefighter, vet tech, shelter volunteer, or working with local organizations to provide food and essential items to those in West Maui? You are able to come to therapy for up to 12 sessions with me for my VOLUNTEER RATE (free).

Are you a resident of West Maui? Sometimes it’s helpful to have a listening ear. I am experienced in treating complex grief issues and have been doing this work for 15 years from a culturally sensitive perspective. You are able to come to therapy for up to 12 sessions with me for my WEST MAUI RESIDENT RATE ($10/hour).

Are you a resident of the state of Hawaii that feels distressed hearing the news but not immediately impacted by housing loss or a death of a family member? Your psychological impact is important too even if the externals of your life may seem “not so bad.” You are able to come to therapy for up to 12 sessions with me for my ALOHA RATE ($30/hour).

Therapy is via phone or video platform, whatever is easiest with your phone reception and Wifi access. I use Simple Practice for video sessions and telephone calls for those who are not able to access a smartphone or have inconsistent internet stability.

The State of Hawaii recently approved all Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists in good standing (regardless of the state that you are licensed in) to be approved to care for those recovering from the August 2023 wildfire in Maui. See see this article, specifically Chapter 451J for details.
