Climate Anxiety and Grief Therapy Group

NEXT GROUP SERIES: September 2025 in Oakland, CA

Process Your Climate Emotions in Community

This series of 8 weekly group therapy sessions will help you:

  1. Gain support from others

  2. Look into your own ecological narrative

  3. Find solutions for functioning in a broken world

If you feel grief, anxiety, or helplessness in the face of the climate crisis—you're not alone.

These emotions are a wise and natural response to what’s happening around us.

And they are only part of the whole picture.

In this group, we’ll help you expand your emotional vocabulary beyond the anxiety–despair–shutdown loop. You don’t have to choose between living in dread or disconnecting!

In group therapy, we will:

  • Reflect on the times you’ve felt effective and hopeful

  • Workshop the areas where you feel stuck or overwhelmed

  • Develop your personal ecological narrative—a timeline of meaningful places, species, memories, and cultural touchpoints that keep you grounded in purpose and the natural world

By the end of our time together, you’ll have a deeper understanding of your values and what helps you feel most grounded. You’ll also leave with practical tools to soothe your nervous system, sustain hope, and move forward with clarity.

You care deeply for this world. Let’s make space for you to care for yourself, too.
