Educators, My Heroes
Life in my house is quieter. Sometimes isolated. Sometimes slow and boring.
Our little circle includes our household, our dog, and the public schools our children attend. Both my husband and I are still working online only, although this month I have opened up spaces to see clients in person one day a week. So for the last year and a half, one of the few professionals we see daily are our children’s teachers. It is interesting and beautiful how we become grateful when things are really simplified.
I wanted to write a very short post to say: thank you, teachers! It’s been a wild ride during the pandemic and we have felt so loved and supported by public school educators. Some of my friends are educators and I think their field has taken on serious stressors during the pandemic.
Because of dedicated teachers, my children have been able to wear masks and go to school. I can’t tell you how much happier they are doing this compared to being all online. They are learning more and we are all much more happy when we’re spending our evenings connecting as a family (rather than feeling like prisoners together 24/7).
Thank you from the bottom of my heart, teachers! You have made this time tolerable and have really blessed my family during a time of stress, fearfulness, and the unknown.
